Dampers

LuK boasts a high level of expertise in the field of dampers in the drive chain. This has led to influential developments such as the dual mass flywheel for cars and commercial vehicles up to 7.5 to. and torsion dampers built into clutch disks for use in tractors. LuK dampers are used in almost one in every two tractors built all over the world.

With the bow spring damper, a new generation was introduced to series production. The bow spring damper enables an almost complete decoupling of engine vibrations from the rest of the drive chain.

The broad range of knowledge relating to vibration damping has meant that dampers for the engine area have been included in the LuK supply program since 2003. The company offers both dampers built into the crankshaft and dampers for the balancer shaft.
